Hillary Stands Down

I commend Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton, Democrat of New York, for ending her campaign so the Democrats can take on Republican Presidential contend John McCain without being distracted inter-party squabbles. Her endorsement of Senator Barack Obama, Democrat of Illinois, couldn't have been clearer. Do I think she's sincere? Yes. She's just as determined as Obama about a Democrat capturing the White House and ending the disastrous Republicans policies that produced a costly, unpopular war that's a drain on the economy, an economy in shambles and low standing internationally.

Should Obama make Clinton his running mate? That's Obama's call.  I don't care one way or the other

Long Democratic Primary Benefited Some TV Stations

"One special interest -- television stations -- profited mightily from the prolonged nature of the Democratic presidential battle," according to the Los Angeles Times' Don Frederick, who blogs at the Top Of The Ticket political blog.

Mercifully, The Democratic Primaries Ends June 3

I got tired of the constant political stories surrounding the Democratic primary weeks ago. However, I'm glad Senator Hillary Clinton, Democrat of New York, hung in there to the end. Doing so gave everyone who wanted to participate in the Democratic presidential candidate nominating process a chance to do so. 

What I like most about the Democratic primaries is that a lot of young people go involved, thanks primarily to the change that Senator Barack Obama, Democrat of Illinois, represents. And we do need change from long-entrenched Democrats and Republicans.
